BSB is a space created for black professionals in sport business in Canada to network, mentor and increase the representation and retention of blacks in the sport business industry.
It was birthed out of my personal experiences working in Toronto in the sport business space. I dealt with unpleasant work environments and a number of adversities being a black female and the emotional and mental fallout, which with a network and resources of support could have been better managed.
BSB was formed to create that space, that community, to ensure that the next generation of black sport business professionals would not have to endure what I had. And for existing professionals to share, build and develop professionally.
